The UNSW Foundation Limited was established in 1988 as the University’s fundraising arm. Today, the University’s commitment to support key priorities in research, student experience and community engagement through fundraising is ongoing.

David Gonski AC, UNSW Chancellor and Chairman of the UNSW Foundation Limited, and the Board of Directors are dedicated to building dynamic partnerships to support key research objectives and other University priorities. The Foundation Chief Executive, Jennifer Bott is a member of the senior executive team of the University reporting jointly to the Vice-Chancellor and to the Chairman of the Foundation Limited Board (the Chancellor).

UNSW is committed to consistent and transparent administration and reporting of all fundraising contributions through the UNSW Foundation Office. The UNSW Foundation Office is a division of UNSW which develops, administers and manages relationships between the University, donors and alumni. All donations to the University are administered by the UNSW Foundation Office.

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office under item 1 of section 30-15 (Subdivision 30-BA) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
